I fell in love with this dress but had no occasion to wear it. So i just kept looig at it over time. Finally I just gave in and bought it — at full price yet! I now have a great dress should the occasion arise. I will have to create an occasion. Thank you Hagar for a perfect dress.
The Savoir Maxi Dress, my first from Alembika, is a truly brilliant design! Typically off the shoulder dresses don't succeed; they're either too tight or too loose. This dress is made of comfortable wrinkle free matte jersey that clings to the shoulders - just the right amount - so that the wearer can expose one shoulder or both and still hold her cocktail or hug that certain someone hello! No need to rearrange or tug. And all that drape at the decolletage is yummy, while the lines of the fabric flow past the waist and hips narrowing to the ankle making one appear taller and slimmer. It's the perfect dress for any shape or height; every woman should have the Savoir Maxi in her closet. True to size as I'm 5'8" and 165 pounds and the large was just right. OX
This dress is fabulous- an amalgam of design and architecture. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't look smashing in this dress. I can't wait for an occasion to wear it! One of my all time favorite Alembika designs.
My girlfriend has same dress bought 10-15 years ago. I have borrowed it regularly. I was thrilled to purchase my own. Love the dress, fabric is very disappointing.
I do love it but unfortunately I was not familiar with Alembika sizing. I ordered
Size 3 and 4. I would normally wear a size 12 in most clothing. The size 4 was definitely too big and the 3 is a little big as well. But size 2 isn’t available. I’m keeping the 3 because I need something for a fall wedding and this is (almost) percrct and the restock of size 2 won’t arrive in time. Not sure that a tailor can help due to the shape of this dress. It is lovely, though, just wish it was a little smaller
This is a dress everyone should own. So so comfortable and travels really well. One can dress this up or make in funky fun. One suggestion, size down .
What a fabulous dress! I am in love wth the "easiness" of it. The fabric is lovely and it's already in my suitcase - lealving for Italy in a few days. Love the drapping and one shoulder...it's a 10!
Love the dress but it is way too long for my 5’ 1” frame. I will be taking it to my seamstress to see what she can do . I would love if all your clothes came in petite sizes !!

Flows perfectly along the body, the fabric is soft and comfortable but never clings. I have a thick mid section
And the cut of the dress actually gives me a waist! I can also dress it up or down which makes it perfect.
SIZING: I ordered the dress in a size three(one size down from my normal Alembika size) and it fit perfectly.

Just what I needed for this trip. Size model must be 10 foot tall, as the size was perfect but the length was sooooo long. But I love the fabric and the design. Fills a great hole in my wardrobe.

This is a super dress. I love the airy stretchy fabric. The neck / shoulder was too big on the XL size 5 and eventually would not stay on me so I sized down and the problem was solved.
