Empowering Change: Our Commitment to our Community
The fashion industry, like any other industry, keeps changing, and becoming more complex as the world becomes more challenging. Designers have to find newness, source fabrics and produce in places that become more difficult to do business with. We have more access to information these days and we know how much abuse can occur behind the scenes; low wages, mass production, waste, poverty.
Many of you have noticed our limited quantities per style, and how quickly certain sizes can sell out. This is a result of our commitment to quality. We source premium fabrics in small batches, work closely with factories where we know the owners and employees, ensuring fair wages and respectful treatment. Our fabrics come from Italy and Turkey, are cut in-house in Israel, and produced with our Arab neighbors in the West Bank. Each season is a testament to the delicate balance we maintain—challenging but incredibly rewarding.
Supporting small factories and showing that while we might not claim to be fully sustainable, we are transparent and connected. We know our people and value the integrity of our entire supply chain, from our internal team to our global partners. This commitment is our strength and our community.
At Alembika, this is what defines us, and we will continue to support and grow with this ethos as both a brand and a family.
