Alembika.com is proud to be a female run and owned business. Our Israeli-based team was founded in 2005 by two women, fashion designer Hagar Alembik, a graduate of the Shenkar School of Design, and Judith Fadlon PhD, an anthropologist. Their goal was to create high-quality, well designed clothing for both, the missy and plus size woman.

Our NY-based team was founded in 1992 by mother/daughter duo team, Yael Edelist and Roni Rabl. Together they found a necessity to offer beautiful novelty designs to the 40+ woman with discerning taste.Together, these powerful and driven women joined forces to create what we now all know and love as Alembika USA.

Both teams continue to grow with a diverse team of women from various backgrounds to create a brand that truly believes in lifting up women and making them feel beautiful both inside and out.
